Jelly Otter is the middle child of the Otter children. Her siblings are Peanut and Butter.

Personality[]

Jelly is caring and is the smartest of the family, who often solves ideas and helps out. She is usually the one who suggests doing a "Noodle Dance" and is often the one to come up with ideas. She often plays with Pinch Raccoon; however, because of Jelly's tomboyish attitude, she sometimes lacks interest in some of Pinch's more "girly" pastimes, such as giving makeovers. Jelly is a big fan of Odella Otter, as she reveals in "The Singin' Kid" that Odella is her favorite singer in the whole world and, upon seeing a kite with her face on it in "Easy Pickings," says she wants one too.

Website Description[]

Whazzat? A comet? An astro-hyper-techno-interplanetary Mighty Otter? Yes, it's Jelly, a 7-year-old (6 in Season 1) girl otter who is a born dynamo. Nothing can stop her once she gets an idea in her head. Her favorite role is playing Jelleena, Queen of the Otters, the world's first fur-bearing super heroine. Jelly's energy and inventiveness captivates everybody and she is usually the ringleader in most of the games that the Lake Hoohaw kids play. She does have one tiny problem - she's always mixing up reality with fantasy! Jelly's favorite food is super-chunky peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches with a tall glass of frothy goat's milk.

Appearance[]

Jelly is a slender otter with fuchsia fur. She has dark violet hair styled in a bob haircut. Her footwear consists of black and white saddle shoes with pink socks.

Unlike her siblings, Jelly lacks a visible belly button. Also, she is one of two otters to lack whiskers like a real otter, with the other being Butter.

Quotes[]

  • "I've got it!"—Uttered by Jelly after doing the Noodle Dance, often before she offers an impractical and unworkable solution to a problem
  • "I know, let's do the Noodle Dance!"—Said by Jelly in the majority of episodes

Trivia[]

  • Since Jelly is a little taller than her older brother Peanut, she slightly resembles the Nintendo character Luigi from the Mario series. Because both of them are younger (and taller) than their older siblings.
    • Her personality also somewhat resembles that of another Nintendo character, Princess Daisy, also from the Mario series.
    • Though a difference is that the Nintendo characters (Mario and Luigi) are twins. However, Peanut and Jelly have an age gap of a few years.
  • She and her brother Peanut are the only characters to appear in every episode of PB&J Otter, edging out even Baby Butter.
  • She is the fourth youngest of all of the Lake Hoohaw kids.
  • In mid-Season 2 to Season 3, her speaking voice becomes younger and higher-pitched than in Season 1 to early Season 2.
  • During the show's songs, Jelly is a somewhat talented singer herself.
  • She can play the drum,[1] the washtub bass,[2] the tissue-box guitar[3] and the big bass drum.[4]
